Addition and Subtraction Practice Sums Magazine
Welcome to this brilliant new magazine that is ideal for home learning. It is targetted to the age range of 5-7 year olds in the UK following the national curriculum.
It contains lots and lots of practice worksheets to help learn and develop skills adding and subtracting using numbers in the range 0-20.
The magazine contains no fewer than 2,600 practice sums - if you get through all of those, you'll be a maths wizard and an addition and subtraction pro! You might like to try a worksheet a day, or more if you feel like it. Every worksheet gives you the option to record your name, time and the total you got correct. To help you develop, sums may repeat several times - each time you see the sum you should be a little bit more familiar with it and hopefully be able to answer it a little more quickly. Practice makes perfect, after all!
The magazine builds up the difficulty gradually, starting with smaller numbers and addition, then moving onto subtraction, then combining everything together with a medley of all sorts of sums in the range, and changing the format so instead of 3 + 3 = ? you must solve the question slightly differently: there is a blank box for the second part of the sum and you must work out the number to be placed in the box to complete the sum. The image to the right of the page shows how those questions work.
The magazine is divided as follows:

- 4x pages practicing addition with 6-10
- 4x pages practicing addition with 11-5
- 4x pages practicing addition with 16-20
- 4x pages practicing subtraction with 0-5
- 4x pages practicing subtraction with 6-10
- 4x pages practicing subtraction with 11-5
- 4x pages practicing subtraction with 16-20
- 5x pages summing any numbers 0-20 in the style 5 + ? = 10
- 5x pages subtracting any numbers 0-20 in the style 10 - ? = 5
... and of course all the answers are included at the back of the magazine too for easy checking and reference.
