Ensaimada or circle sudoku...

Another strategy guide has been added, this time for Ensaimada, which is also known as circle sudoku.

http://www.puzzle-magazine.com/ensaimada-strategy.php

It's a rarely seen puzzle and is really just an ordinary sudoku puzzle (occasionally with variations) displayed on a circular grid.

This means that the strategy tip is really just to use standard sudoku solving rules, but to be extra careful about pencilmarks!

I have tried circle sudoku puzzles a couple of times in the past (never heard them called ensaimada).

I have to say that I find them rather dull however!

There is one in a london newspaper, or used to be, called something like spidoku or spider sudoku which is pretty much the same thing. One of the few puzzles that holds no interest for me I have to say!
