How often are the magazines produced?...

Hi there,

I'm new having just come across this site.

I wondered how often the magazines are created - how often should I check back for new ones?

And also, will there just be one type of each magazine, or will there be several. For instance I really love consecutive sudoku like one of the other posters here - once I finish the first 'magazine' will there be another at a later date?

I realise the answers to these questions might not have been decided yet so I hope at least I give you something to think about!

Thanks for the question.

In terms of when new magazines are added, there is not going to be any absolute timescale. As we've started off fairly recently then there is quite a high level of activity at the moment and another couple may well be added over the course of the following week.

Once the initial magazines are up there may well be a short wait whilst we assess which ones are most popular and work on requests received for new titles.

As for there being new magazines on the same topic, then absolutely yes there could be. If there is interest or a particular puzzle goes down well, then we could certainly create future magazines of the same puzzle type.

I just posted about the possibility of a futoshiki magazine a few minutes ago, so hopefully that might move up the list of ones you decide to create next

Anyhow just wanted to say this place seems like a great resort and I shall look forward to trying out the familiar and less familiar puzzles over the coming weeks. I like the idea of having a few samples so I can try the puzzles I'm not familiar with and see if they're my cup of tea or not before deciding to go ahead and buy the puzzle magazine or not.

Sounds like there are lots of requests being made doesn't it! Still better too many than too few as they say!

Yes, there have been lots of requests come in - some through the forums and also some through the contact form on here... hopefully we'll get round to most of them in due course. Futoshiki is certainly right up there on the list.

Of course some puzzles take a lot longer to create than others, particularly those that involve pictorial based content. But definitely keep the suggestions coming everyone!
