Having just posted about minesweeper puzzles I thought I would ask about mosaic puzzles.
After all these are basically the same puzzle, but there is the added satisfaction that an image is revealed by the completed puzzle. That is when the squares are shaded in that contain the mines (in minesweeper) they form a pattern that is a simple piece of black and white art, along the same lines as happens with a hanjie puzzle or other picture-making puzzles.
The only difference between the two puzzles, infact, is that with a mosaic the square itself containing a number can be shaded in, of course with a minesweeper puzzle this is not allowed.
Anyhow, are there any good sources of mosaic puzzles out there? As with the magazines here I'm happy to pay for a good quality source of puzzles, either in book format or like the printable PDFs here. I can't think I've ever come across a collection of mosaics but as I like minesweepers I think I would enjoy a book of mosaics too. Or perhaps one can be created here, you never know?!
