Shop puzzle magazines...

What's your favourite puzzle magazine in the shops?

I find most of them very samey and disappointing... do you?

Hiya, I have just stumbled across this site in my search for decent puzzles, and it looks like I may be spending a bit of time here...!

I agree with you that the puzzle magazines in the shops are very disappointing, offering only a very small selection of puzzles. I used to subscribe to Sudoku Pro which had the best variiety of puzzles but unfortunately folded, and the only other magazine which is of any interest to me at all is Beyond Sudoku, but to be quite honest I tend to source my puzzles from online sites now.

I like some of the puzzles in Beyond Sudoku too - I mainly get it for the slitherlink, but I think it is too expensive at £3.30. Though sometimes it randomly seems to be half price in Smiths!

In addition I don't like several of the puzzle types in there - those ones where you have to link chains of the same number are of no interest to me nor are a few of the other puzzle types too, so in fact there are probably only three puzzle types in there that I do come to think of it!
