Top Three Puzzles...By: Gemma1 [9-June-10 10:35AM] 81 posts |

Now it is time for the top three favourite puzzles
1) Consecutive sudoku: For some reason - whilst lots of sudoku variants are good - this one just seems more fun than the others
2) ABC logic puzzles: love the fact you can solve them in a few minutes but they still require you to think
3) Harder one this... there are many more number type puzzles I enjoy like calcudoku but I think I'll go for a loop puzzle, and I think the one I'll go for is yajilin.
Anyone else got a top three?

Bit of a tricky one this as I seem to have a favourite of the month, do it to death and then get ready for a change! However, my current favourites are
1) Consecutive sudoku
2) Skyscrapers
3) Yajilin (closely followed by masyu)
I never do word puzzles for some reason, but there are so many other number puzzles I enjoy. I'm always looking round for new variations for a bit of a change.

Thanks for the thread, Gemma. Here's my top three at the moment:
1) Arrow Sudoku: co-incidentally there is probably going to be a magazine of this appearing this week
2) Slitherlink: Can be one of the most satisfying puzzles to finish if it's a good one
3) Masyu: Good when you want an easier challenge than slitherlink

You should hopefully enjoy the new magazines released today Christine: Graeco-Latin sudoku and Arrow Sudoku.
I think the Arrow Sudoku might particularly be of interest to you...

Ok So I think I will go for Hashi/Bridges, Futoshiki and those little ABC puzzles are rather fun too!

Thanks for the contributions everyone. Interesting to see that there are some favourites out there, but also a good mix of different puzzle types too
If anyone else who visits this site but hasn't yet signed up would like to and share their favourite puzzle types too please do I love to read what other people are thinking and enjoying when it comes to puzzles.

My top three puzzles are the following ones:
16x16 sudoku
25x25 sudoku
Samurai sudoku
I like puzzles the bigger the better. I know you will think I am mad but I find the longer it takes to solve the puzzle the greater the satisfaction one receives once done!
