Futoshiki Puzzle Magazine

large futoshiki magazine Futoshiki is a puzzle that is most commonly played in 5x5 form, and the 100 puzzles in this new collection of brand new futoshiki puzzles contains 100 5x5 sized futoshiki puzzles.

The aim of the puzzles in the futoshiki magazine is quite simple: just place the numbers from 1 - 5 once in each row and each column of the puzzle, and crucially, such that the values inside the cells match the constraints provided. The constraints are greater than and less than symbols (> and <) that appear between certain cells in the puzzle. These indicate that the value of one cell must be greater or less than the neighbouring cell. The point of the arrow points to the cell that is lower in value and the open end points to the value that is larger. This means that the numbers in futoshiki actually have numerical value and significance in the puzzle, and so adds a nice extra piece of solving logic to those you will be familiar with from sudoku.

This magazine contains 100 futoshiki puzzles which are displayed four a page and also the solutions to the 100 puzzles at the end. The puzzles are sorted according to their difficulty so the puzzles get harder as you progress through the magazine through easy, medium and hard puzzles with the easiest puzzles at the start and the harder ones at the end.

Here is the first page of the futoshiki magazine which contains four easy puzzles.
