One puzzle that I don't think that has been mentioned here so far that I quite enjoy is the puzzle called hanjie.
Does anyone else here enjoy hanjie? If you've not come across it before, then basically you have an empty grid with numbers around the edge of the puzzle above the columns and at one of the sides of the rows. These numbers tell you how many cells are to be filled in each of those rows or columns.
A single number refers to a solid set of cells that must be shaded. For instance a '2' means that 2 cells together are to be filled in. A clue of 2,3,4 means there are 2 cells shaded together, then a gap of at least one cell, then 3, then another gap of at least one, and then 4.
It is also quite nice because you end up making an image, although a lot of these can be quite random and they definitely vary in quality! The ones in the telegraph for example where the puzzle is called griddler are a total joke: basically a random squiggle fills the image with some letters shoved around the edge, so that one is no better than a randomly filled puzzle. But I have played some ones before that create excellent images, particularly with bigger puzzles.
